Physical Properties:
Exists as white or milky white powder, and colorless or slight yellow transparent liquid. The clarity of the aqueous product depend on the proportion of vinylpyrrolidone and vinylacetate. The aqueous solution of VA37 is cloudy, and the others are clear at room temperature. The solution is slight acidic but not electrolytic.
Application:
PVP/VA series products play a good role as firm-forming and hair-fixing agent. It's hygroscopicicy decrease with increase in the proportion of vinylacetate in the molecular. This property is extremely used for PVP/VA as hair sprays and hair-set lotion. If used with PVPK30. The effect would be enbanced.
Other Utility:
Remoistenable adhesive and other adhesives for paper.
1. Viscosity-enhancing agent and protecting colloid for printing ink.
2. Emulsing agent and protecting colloid for plant-protecting chemicals and other dispcrsing systems.
3. Binder in coating.
4. Stabilizer, levelling agent, color stabilizer in printing and dyeing industry.
