Corner Bead for Protection Drywall

Corner bead:
1. Raw material: Hot dipped galvanized steel sheet, stainless steel sheet, aluminum plate
Using: Be used for plastering wall. Used in the corner of the wall, window or ceilings
2. Function: Provides excellentt protection to external corners, the hole and knurled surface provides an excellent key for the joint compoumd. It can protect the corner from cracking, Can also have a strong support to the wall and ceilings.
3. Feature: It is easy to work with: Can be easily cut to the size according to your use, can be easly fixed to the wall or ceilings.
4. Classify: According to the different material can devied into: Galvanized corner bead, stainless corner bead and aluminum corner bead, according to the different shape, there are two most common size: Expanded corner bead and perforated corner bead.
5. APPLIATION:
FIRST: Measure 1/2 inch shorter than the floor to ceiling distance, Make two cuts toward the centerline, using tin snips. Use one continuous length, do not splice.
SECOND: Hold corner bead firmly in place and affix with drywall nails or screws, every 10 to 12 inches. Slightly dimple each fastener.
THIRD: Using a 4" - 6" drywall knife, apply a generous coat of drywall joint compound to each side, Feather the compound 4"-5" from the corner. Allow to dry.
FOURTH: Using a 6" -10" drywall taping knife, apply a thinner coat of drywall joint compound to each side. Feather the compound 8"-10" from the corner. Allow to dry.
FIVTH: Apply a thinner third coat of drywall joint compound to each side, feathered 10" -12". Allow to dry.
AT LAST: Overlapping drywall sheets form the corner. The feathering of the drywall joint compound smoothly covers the nails and corner bead.
6. Packing:
Usually we make it as: 50 or 100 pieces / carton. If need pallet, then it is 20 or 50 cartons / pallet. Other seaworthy package according to the customers' demand is possible.
