The thermal conductivity of polytetrafluoroethylene for thermal insulation is 0.27 W / mK, while the thermal conductivity of Aerogel Blankets is generally 0.02 W / mK, only 1/13 of that of polytetrafluoroethylene. This is because the small gap in the atmospheric environment stagnates the CO2 gas, so convection heat does not develop, the microstructure of Aerogel Insulation Blanket is relatively thin, heat transfer path is long, reducing the heat conductivity. Silica Aerogel is therefore known as a magical thermal insulation material.
Silica Aerogel Insulation Blanket is made of nano-silica aerogel as the main material and combined with glass fiber cotton or pre-oxidized fiber mat by special process.It is characterized by low thermal conductivity,certain tensile and compressive strength,and is a new type of thermal insulation material.
