food grade magnesium oxide, which is odorless and non-toxic, is used as a food additive for powder mix desiccant (drying agent), color retention, pH modification or as a magnesium supplement. Magnesium oxide adds dietary value in the form of the mineral magnesium in dietary supplements (i.e. vitamins). When added to food products, Marinco also helps control pH and maintain food color. In addition, it keeps powdered foods, such as powder drink mixes, free-flowing as it acts as an anti-caking agent.
