Reasonable use of oil seal, should note the following:
(1) The speed of the shaft due to design and structural reasons, high-speed shaft should use high-speed oil seal, low-speed shaft using low-speed oil seal, can not be low-speed oil seal on the high-speed shaft, and vice versa.
(2) Ambient temperature in the case of high temperature, should use polypropylene or silicon, fluorine, silicone rubber. And should try to reduce the oil temperature in the tank. In the case of the use of temperature is too low, should use cold rubber.
(3) The pressure of the general oil seal to withstand the pressure is poor, the pressure is too large when the oil seal will be deformed. In the case of excessive pressure should be used under the pressure support ring or reinforced pressure oil seal.
(4) The degree of eccentricity on the installation of the oil seal and the shaft when the eccentricity is too large, then the sealing will be worse, especially when the shaft speed is particularly serious. If the eccentricity is too large, you can use W shaped oil seal.
(5) The surface roughness of the shaft, a direct impact on the service life of the oil seal, that is, the shaft of high finish, oil seal life will be long.
(6) Note that the lip of the oil seal should have a certain amount of oil.
(7) To pay special attention to prevent dust from immersing oil seal.
