Albendazole has a broad-spectrum anthelmintic activity and has a strong disinfestation effect on nematodes, aphids, and trematodes. Its mechanism of action is through binding to tubulin in the helminth, preventing it from polycondensation with α-tubulin to form microtubules, thereby affecting cell reproduction processes such as mitosis, protein assembly and energy metabolism in the worm. Ivermectin has a good disinfestation effect on in vitro and in vivo parasites, in particular arthropods and in vivo nematodes, and is mainly used to drive out gastrointestinal nematodes, lung nematodes and ectoparasites of pigs. The mechanism of repelling is to promote the release of GABA from presynaptic neurons, thereby opening GABA-mediated chloride channels. Chloride ion flow can reduce the membrane impedance, cause a slight depolarization of the postsynaptic membrane static potential, thus interfering with the signal transmission between the neuromuscular, the paralysis of the parasite, resulting in the death or excretion of the parasite.
