It is soluble in alcohol, acetone, chloroform and benzene, soluble in ether, non corrosive, insoluble in water, and has stable structure.Methyl Palmitate can be used in the production of emulsifier, wetting agent and stabilizer.There is no methyl ester of short C chain, and it can be detected by chlorinated hydrocarbons(short C chain chlorinated paraffins), and the plasticizer produced by chlorination reaction has good compatibility with PVC, excellent plasticizing effect, fire resistance, no toxicity, environmental protection property, etc.
Methyl Palmitate is produced by the raw material plant oil. Methyl Palmitate(methyl hexadecanoate) is light yellow liquid, and the density is 0.87.
Application
1. Methyl Palmitate can be used in the production of emulsifier, wetting agent and stabilizer.
2. It can be used as stationary liquid for gas chromatography.
3. There is no methyl ester of short C chain, and it can be detected by chlorinated hydrocarbons(short C chain chlorinated paraffins), and the plasticizer produced by chlorination reaction has good compatibility with PVC, excellent plasticizing effect, fire resistance, no toxicity, environmental protection property, etc. This chlorinated product has an ester structure, and can be used as a plasticizer for the substitution of DOP, DBP.It contains chlorine and can replace chlorinated paraffin, to improve the flame retardancy and electrical insulation.
